From October 31, 2012 until November 26, 2012Casa Árabe and the School of Catering Trade of Cordoba organized on Monday November 26th an Arab food showcooking where different approaches on current Arab cooking were displayed through the presentation show of traditional and modern dishes. -

Cinema on Fridays in Cordoba
From October 31, 2012 until December 21, 2012From December 7th to 21st Casa Árabe headquarters in Cordoba host the screening of three films by famous Arab directors and which have been released within the latest years. The program "Cinema on Fridays" includes titles such as Couscous -La graine et le mulet in original version – its director, Abdellatif Kechiche, was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Venice International Film Festival and four Cesar prizes. The second of the long length films to be screened is the German comedy Almanya, by the director Yasemin Samdereli. The last film of this year is to be Le Grand Voyage written and directed by Ismael Ferroukhi, whose debut on cinema screens was this one and with which he won the best Opera Prima (debut film) at the Venice International Film Festival. -

From November 05, 2012 until November 20, 2012The book Los movimientos islámicos transnacionales y la emergencia de un "islam europeo" [Transnacional Islamic Movements and the Rise of a "European Islam"] by Frank Peter and Rafael Ortega, Edicions Bellaterra (2012), has been published and it is included in the collection Biblioteca de Casa Árabe (Casa Árabe’s Library). -

Launching of 38th issue of Andalucía en la Historia
From November 05, 2012 until November 12, 2012On Monday November 12th, Casa Árabe and the Centro de Estudios Andaluces launched issue number 38 of the magazine Andalucía en la Historia. Caballeros medievales, entre las armas y las letras [Andalucia in History. Medieval Knights, caught up between weapons and quills]. -
The failure of the Green Movement in Iran
From November 13, 2012 until November 21, 2012On November 20th and 21st, Professor Farian Sabahi, from the University of Turin, gave lectures on the consequences the failure of the Green Movement in Iran has on women’s rights. It took place in Cordoba and in Madrid.
