    Casa Árabe will screen from 2 to 30 June, in collaboration with the Malaga Contemporary Art Centre and commissioned by Alberto Elena, includes five titles that raises questions related to gender and sexuality in the Arab world.

    Within the Iraqi Week, which Casa Árabe organizes from 20 to 25 June, from 4 to 25 June the cinema season Stories from Iraq will be replayed including two new titles: War, Love, God & Madness and Open Shutters Iraq, whose directors - Mohamed al-Daradji and Maysoon Pachachi- will take part in different activities with the audience.

    Arabs and Americans: Cinema as a mirror

    From May 3rd to 31st, Casa Árabe will display in Vigo this cinema series in which Arab and American directors try to see each other, to get to know and to get an interpretation through diverse perspectives, which include references to History, identity, soccer, politics or marginalization, among other topics.

    Casa Árabe presents the fourth edition of its Panorama of contemporary Arab documentary cinema, which is framed within the International Festival Documenta Madrid 2010 which will be held from the 10th to the 14th of May in Madrid.

    Arab biographies of cinema

    From April 06, 2010 until May 03, 2010
    Casa Árabe presents, from April 5th to May 3rd, documentaries and fiction films carried out within a common biographic profile of certain relevant characters of the social, cultural or political Arab world. Through the cinema, public will come closer to the lives of Umm Kulzum, Muhammad Asad, Mahmoud Darwish and Emir Abd- El-Kader.
