    Presentation of the Latest Work by Mohamed al-Asfar

    On Monday, June 3 in Madrid, Casa Árabe is presenting the book Farha by Libyan author Mohamed al-Asfar. The event, which will be taking place at 7:00 p.m. in the Casa Árabe Auditorium (at Calle Alcalá, 62), will include speeches by Eduardo López Busquets, the General Director of Casa Árabe; Mohamed al-Asfar, the author of the work; Abdul Hadi Sadoun, an Iraqi writer, Hispanist and publisher, and Luis Rafael Hernández, writer and director of the Verbum publishing house.

    Presentation of "Cinema and Diplomacy"

    On Tuesday, June 4, Amador Martínez Morcillo is presenting his book "Cinema and Diplomacy" in Madrid, with a prologue by Eduardo Torres-Dulce. The presentation, which will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Casa Árabe Auditorium (at Calle Alcalá, 62), will include the attendance of Eduardo López Busquets, Casa Árabe’s General Director, and Amador Martínez Morcillo, the work’s author.

    As of June 6 at its Cordoba headquarters, Casa Árabe will be hosting the exhibition ASSEM AL BACHA. From Within: Sculptures of pain and rebellion. In memory of Namir. It is comprised of the sculptural work by the Syrian artist residing in Spain, Assem Al Bacha.

    Registration for Arabic Language Center Classes

    From June 01, 2013 until June 23, 2013
    The registration period to sign up for the Arabic Language Center’s summer courses will last from June 1-23, with classes beginning as of July 1. Courses are offered in Modern Standard Arabic, Moroccan Darija, and Egyptian and Levantine Arabic (the latter is the variety from the region of Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine). In-company courses can also be given upon request for businesses, as well as classes for private students and conversation courses.
